"SNIP......

Dan Balz: “Looking to November, absent a turnaround, the more the elections become a pure referendum on the president, the more his party will suffer. Biden’s opportunity could be to try to shift the focus, to prompt swing suburban voters to ask themselves whether a Republican Congress would return the country to the chaos of the Trump years, with House GOP leaders promising retribution if they take control and the party generally lacking a clear governing agenda.”

Since they’re killing thousands of their people everyday.

while we lost VA and got crazily close in NJ. They might be dying at a higher rate than democrats but there are still enough votes out there to get some republican wins. I believe the general polling and the history that mid term aren't great for the party in power. We need more than "they are dying in the thousands daily" to keep the house and senate. Actually, I hope we can expand in the senate so Manchin and Sinema is less a problem.

This notion that COVID is going to substantially deplete republican ranks is, at some point, going to undermine the urgency of the midterms and potentially suppress turnout.

It doesn’t make up for the suppression. It definitely doesn’t matter when republicans “count the votes” I have voted in EVERY election EVERY time, I have ALWAYS votes straight ticket dem.
They are killing their voters by the thousands. That is just reality.
