Who knew the White House issued a Infrastructure Bill fact sheet Friday?

Nope, I didn't know they did. The Dems really need to up their Public Relations game.

The goals of the infrastructure bill should be front and center every single day. There should be ads on local stations telling the citizens what that bill will do for their communities, the improvements and jobs created.

This was a fact sheet issued by the WH on Friday....did you hear about it, read about it...NO.

No mention in mainstream news. More news about the stupid tennis player Novak Djokovic. I mean who really cares about a spoiled tennis player?

FACT SHEET: Biden-Harris Administration Hits the Ground Running 60 Days into Infrastructure Implementation
JANUARY 14, 2022

STATEMENTS AND RELEASES
Since President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law 60 days ago, the Biden-Harris Administration has hit the ground running to deliver results. The Administration has made key progress towards implementing the largest long-term investment in America’s infrastructure and competitiveness in nearly a century.

The historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will rebuild crumbling road and bridges, replace lead pipes, help provide high-speed internet to every family in America, and produce concrete results that change people’s lives for the better. These results will create good-paying, union jobs, support domestic manufacturing and supply chains, and position the United States to win the 21st century. As the Administration implements the law, it is following through on President Biden’s commitment to ensure investments advance equity and racial justice, reach communities all across the country – including rural communities, communities of color, and disability communities – and strengthen the nation’s resilience to climate change.

On the day President Biden signed the bill into law, he appointed Mitch Landrieu as Senior Adviser and Infrastructure Implementation Coordinator and signed an Executive Order establishing an Infrastructure Implementation Task Force to ensure the Administration achieves results for the American people. The Administration launched Build.gov to serve as a growing hub of implementation resources, and it kicked off a nationwide tour to highlight the benefits of the law for people across the country.

President Biden surveyed a bridge needing repairs in New Hampshire, toured an electric vehicle plant in Michigan, visited a public transit authority in Missouri. Vice President Harris joined Transportation Secretary Buttigieg in North Carolina to tour an electric bus facility. EPA Administrator traveled across the South during an environmental justice tour. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland toured the West to discuss resilience projects while Energy Secretary Jen Granholm touted clean energy projects from Illinois to Tennessee to Rhode Island. Throughout the tour, the Administration demonstrated how we will work as one team with one mission: to deliver results to the American people while advancing racial equity, combatting climate change, and creating job opportunities for American workers.

Roads, Bridges, and Transportation Infrastructure

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) announced $27 billion in funding to replace, repair, and rehabilitate bridges across the country to all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Tribal governments over the next five years.

Vice President Harris announced an EV Charging Action Plan to achieve the President’s goal of building a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle chargers.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm formed a Joint Office of Energy & Transportation focused on building out the national network of EV chargers.
FHWA at USDOT announced $52.5 billion in Federal Highway Apportionment for fiscal year 2022 the largest in decades for all 50 states and DC.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at USDOT announced $3 billion for 3,075 airportsacross the country that can use investments to upgrade critical infrastructure.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at USDOT announced $260 million for highway safety programsto reduce traffic crashes.

USDOT awarded $1 billion in Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants to invest in 90 major projects across 47 states funding that will be boosted by an additional $7.5 billion in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) at USDOT announced $230 million in Port Infrastructure Development grants to improve ports, strengthen the nation’s supply chains to meet demand resulting from the rapid economic recovery over the past year, and help ease inflationary pressures. Funding for this program will be boosted by an additional $2.25 billion through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Did we see it on the news Friday? I didn't.

This needs to be broken down for each state and community that will benefit. It needs to be made into commercials with ordinary citizens and how they will benefit.

The Senate Approves The $1 Trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill In A Historic Vote
August 10, 2021

The Senate voted 69-30 Tuesday to approve a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, a historic piece of legislation that could reshape American lives for decades.

The measure fulfills a call from President Biden for the two major parties to work together to deliver one of his top priorities, but it faces an uncertain fate in the House of Representatives as progressive Democrats press for even greater spending.

Only 19 out of 50 Republican senators voted for the bill. Ads in states where infrastructure money will be spent, but their senator didn't vote for it should clearly say that Senator***** did not vote for infrastructure funding to be spent in your community, but your state will still benefit despite him/her. It's YOUR tax dollars at work..

We need to start playing hardball and until we do, the Republicans will continue to walk all over us.

But for the greater population this was a non event and most have probably forgotten about the bill all together. If they know there was some kind of infrastructure bill passed in mid-2021, they probably have forgotten what it was all about. That's why the DNC and the WH have to keep up a constant messaging. Front and center; TV Radio. All we hear about are the BBB bill not getting passed and the disaster of the Voting Right Bills.

Anyone ever consider WHY they never talk about this amazing gift Pres Biden handed America?

All those high paid TV talking heads, & they never speak of this?

Who tells them what to say?
Who decides what they report & what they bury, & why.
That's my question. Who is it.

and that it was no longer able to be used as a lever to force through the BBB.

Than it sort of dropped out of the discussion.

I've even seen comments here that BBB should be passed so that we can repair road and bridges, when that is in the BIP.

I’ve seen what you are referencing in this post. I’ve noticed that, too. Interest in the BIF seemed to drop once the leveraging was taken away and the narrative wasn’t about progressives. I even saw distortions that BIF wasn’t that great because “corporations” might get some money.

It’s a shame that narratives take precedence. The BIF money is being allocated and there are great jobs to be had. Plus we get to fix some broken infrastructure. As you said “the loudest voices” need to be touting this great legislation.

Where is the Democratic party's Frank Luntz? "Build Back Better" and "Infrastructure" don't inspire anyone. "Fix the bad roads and broken bridges" should be coming from everyone in every interview everyday. "State legislatures stealing your ballot" would work far better than "Voting Rights". Are we not serious about winning elections?

You do not release important administrative news or statements on a Friday unless you want them dumped into a black hole. This is particularly egregious because the press release is filled with good news, the sort that boosts rather than deflates President Biden's agenda.

We gotta play smarter. I agree we need an A+ communications team selling the message. Think it's called marketing, something Republicans excel at even when their pushing endless lies and propaganda.

But the Dems need to step up as well being more aggressive in getting the word out to all Americans, not just the ones who watch MSNBC. 30 second commercial on TV and Radio continuously. Not just in Blue states but in all states.

Individuals can get on the White House email list, and receive regular announcements that are released to media outlets. Just enter your email address and zipcode to be included on the distribution.

When Obama was POTUS my name was on the list, however I had to delete my name when I started receiving junk from Chump's White House. However as of today I'm back on the list again.

But everyone doesn't read twitter or even know there is a "Biden's Accomplishments" twitter handle if they do. Have got to do more radio, TV and billboard advertising to get to a wider audience.
