Too Close to Call

Maybe we should cut the Republicans some slack. After all, they've had some really tough decisions to make over the past few years, and are still faced with choices that are so similar in nature, they're just too close to call.

Whose medical advice to follow - a world renowned physician/scientist and immunologist like Dr. Fauci OR internet whack-jobs who swallow horse dewormer and swill their own piss?

How to determine if you should be vaccinated - by listening to doctors, nurses, and other medical practitioners OR by listening to TV personalities who urge you not to get vaxxed, even though all of them are?

What to believe about the 2020 election - that the results were accurate as proven by the counts, recounts, and audits OR that it was rigged despite there being absolutely no evidence that it was?

Who to choose to represent you - intelligent, well-informed people who believe in facts and science OR loud-mouthed idiots who believe in Jewish Space Lasers?

What to trust - your own eyes as you watched the January 6th riots in real time OR the people who told you it was a usual tourist day at the Capitol?

Who to support - the politician who defends democracy OR the politician who defends those who tried to destroy it?

How to access factual information - by listening to long-respected and experienced journalists OR by listening to the incoherent ramblings of a pillow salesman?

How to determine who the true patriots are - the people willing to testify to the truth under oath OR the people who plead the 5th because their testimony might tend to incriminate them?

Who to put your faith in - the party that's fighting for everyone's right to vote OR the party that's fighting to make sure only certain people get to vote?

As you can see, Republicans continue to struggle with the choice between what is in the best interests of themselves as individuals, and the country as a whole - and what is clearly the road to personal and national ruin.

For many, it's a dilemma of epic proportions - this idea of having to choose between sticking with the lies, the fantasies, the debunked conspiracy theories OR simply recognizing the bleedin' obvious.

The GQPer is refusing to concede after losing by a more than 50-point margin.
