What ever happened to debate in the Senate?

What a joke... Most deliberative body in the world, my ass.

Anyone else remember a time when one Senator would ask another Senator to yield for a colloquy (discussion)? Where the hell is that? Why don't any of these members challenge the facts or ask questions that idiots like Chuck Grassley are up there are spewing.

If you want to hold the floor, do so, but I think because nobody wants an uncertain schedule, they don't really care.

One point of the filibuster was supposed to be that the minority is HEARD. Not that they STOP things.
