"SNIP.......

Members of the House Freedom Caucus are renewing their effort to boot Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) from the GOP conference — an effort that failed previously, but is regaining steam in the wake of the Jan. 6 select committee seeking the cooperation of several Republicans, CNN CNN reports.

Congressional and State Trumpists are seeing to that. Especially in the Congressional sphere.

is the only thing holding them back. If committee member numbers weren't at stake, it might be a different story.

BUT GOP leadership still remains opposed to the idea, per sources.

One of the reasons conveyed to members is that removing 2 ppl from the conference would upset the committee ratios worked out at start of Congress.

Fewer Rs in the GOP conference = fewer Rs on committees.

So now they define "conservatism" and the "real conservatives" are the fringe who need to come up with a new name for themselves.

Nothing wrong with conservatives. The remainder of the Republican party are either Fascists or Cowards. We should stop calling these people Fascists and the Republican Party as the American Fascist Party (AFP).

8. Conservatives renew effort to push out conservatively-incorrect conservatives

Movement Conservatives built what became the Trump Cult so they could surf them to power. They've spent the last 60 years encouraging the foamers to identify as "conservative" rather than as some other label. And they used that leverage to drive any Republican who didn't get with the program to political extinction. Just ask the Rockefeller Republicans.

Kudos to the OP for rightly labeling the cultists as "conservatives". They made their bed, they can lie in it. Just because Cheney and Kinzinger aren't the same level of awful doesn't mean they aren't conservative too.
