(82,849 posts)I remember him stopping at Jim Acosta just long enough to say he wasn't going to take Acosta's question because he was "fake news." Naturally, every reporter worth her or his salt immediately left the press room. The rest? Didn't budge.
Business Insider had a little article on this in May 2020.
President Donald Trump has consistently attacked reporters for asking critical questions during his daily coronavirus press briefings.
In some cases, the president has gone so far as to call reporters "terrible," "fake," and "nasty," and telling some that they're "never going to make it."
Trump has made it clear he prefers positive, easy news coverage of his coronavirus response; he even went out of his way during an April briefing to show a video lauding his administration's efforts over the past few months.
The linked article goes on to document those 11 instances with clips. But, I suppose that since these were briefings on the coronavirus, some will argue that the former guy didn't make any of these reprehensible remarks during a press conference, so he's blameless.

(7,666 posts)The hard truth is Joe wasn't finishing his sentences and appeared confused in the part I saw. I am not judging him on the content of his responses or on whether many of the questions were unfair or adversarial- I'm sure they were. The "optics" in the part I saw were terrible.
