To Covid Or Not To Covid...

I'm taking care of my mom who has stage 4 cancer. She was in a rehabilitation center after being in the hospital to get physical therapy etc (she's 70). There she got covid and is now back in the hospital. She's awake and improving so as long as things don't take a turn for the worst, she'll be okay. The thing is I spent a few hours with her two days before she was taken to the hospital. She's twice vaccinated and I just got my 3rd shot a few days before btw. Now I developed a runny nose and cough but not a fever and my throat feels fine. So maybe I have mild covid or maybe I just have a cold. I'm a responsible adult so I went and got tested but the results will take 48 hours. The waiting's the hardest part; I keep imagining it will develop into something worse for me or my mom. I have a lot of anxiety.
