His 3 very own appointed Supreme Court justices betrayed him. Those 3 justices owe allegiance to him, wouldn't have their jobs were it not for him. (and the Federalist Society)
He is scheming right now how to replace those 3 justices with acting Supreme Court justices.
Bwahahaha.

(21,323 posts)My post is about reading the defeated former president's mind.
All perverse anti-American right-wing ideologues are not Donald Trump, but all of Donald Trump is a perverse anti-American right-wing ideologue. We have no evidence that those three will support another perverse anti-American right-wing ideologue, regardless of our suspicions.

(47,419 posts)pretty much everyone really, really hates him and they will only cater to him if they have to. Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life and are not beholding to anyone, not even the president who nominated them. His insults and childish smears won't affect them.

(21,323 posts)you get my point. He has to be furious today. I have always believed that Trump isn't stupid, he is mentally ill.

(12,463 posts)Hes a malignant narcissist a personality type it is who a person is. Drugs dont help it,therapy makes it worse.
It isnt mental illness because mental illness can be treated with therapy, meds etc.
Malignant narcissism is is who he is.That cannot be treated.

(65,010 posts)Wasnt he that clown from TV that bankrupted casinos.
A prediction of future quotes from the real billionaires.
gab13by13
(21,323 posts)he just used the casinos to launder money.
ProfessorGAC
(65,010 posts)For one simple reason. Theres no evidence he really knows how to make money needing to be laundered.
And, if he was laundering money for others, those places wouldnt have gone under.
gab13by13
(21,323 posts)Google Trump Tower, Baku, Azerbaijan. He built a tower on the poor side of town, no access road to it, and he had Ivanka sign her name to the project. The Iranian Republican Guard even laundered money through that project. I don't believe it has ever opened up for business.
ProfessorGAC

Thats fine.
Botany
(70,501 posts)... the casinos were in part real businesses and the Trumps are not good at making money on
business.
* The Trump businesses made money @ one of their hotels in Azerbaijan
which was built for one purpose and that was to launder money for various
oligarchs, Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and people who stole oil form different
middle eastern and Russian connected countries
https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/03/13/donald-trumps-worst-deal
BTW I don't know if it was one of his hotels or casinos but somebody ran the #s
on it and even if all the rooms were booked up @ their full rates the money they
brought in was not enough to cover the cost on the monthly note.
ProfessorGAC
(65,010 posts)The article is titled
worst deal
So, anything in it that talks about making money creates dissonance for me.
Besides, I wasnt rejecting the notion the TO would stoop to money laundering.
I was rejecting that the Atlantic City casinos were there for that purpose.
If in fact, a joint in Azerbaijan could be profitable from laundering schemes, why wouldnt three businesses in what then was the gambling center of the east coast. They didnt & went belly up.
Hence my disbelief.

(8,964 posts)Not one. Not two, but three "disloyal" subjects. It must get pretty head-exploding bad when Clarence Thomas is the only one on that bench willing to lick Trump's boots. But Ginny deserves some of the "credit" for that!

(21,323 posts)Imagine this; the defeated former president calls up John Roberts, "hey John, all I want you to do is find 5 votes. Everyone knows I have executive privilege. 5 votes is all I want because you could be in trouble if you don't."
SergeStorms
(19,200 posts)because those same three SC Justices are going to vote to overturn Roe v. Wade in a few months.
They don't owe allegiance to TFG as much as they do the evanHELLicals and big money donors to truly CONservative causes over the previous decades.TFG was just a tool (and what a tool he is!) to achieve their puritanical goals from decades past.
Those Justices will be there when the rubber hits the road, and throwing TFG under the bus just makes them look more "middle of the road" for when their actual agenda comes to fruition in the coming months.
We certainly won't be laughing then.
gab13by13
(21,323 posts)of course I understand that it may well be the most partisan court in our history. The SC allowed a Muslim ban and stated the reason being that the #1 job of a president is to protect the citizens. Then the court turns around and rejects the OSHA vaccine mandate which would have protected US citizens.
I also notice that this decision did not speak to the fact that the present president is the one who determines executive privilege. This court's decision was a narrow one that was based on Trump not making his legal case.
Allow me a brief respite from the future storm.

(14,742 posts)Is that little ronnie destanist is going to be the gop nomine.
There is no way humpty's ego could stand being beaten by him, and even worse, to see him beat biden. He will do anything in his grasp to tear the gop down before he lets that happen.
It will either be him or his chosen one at the helm or a third party nightmare for the gop; and they know it.
