According to Mother Jones, two influential DEM money streams have told Kyrsten to fuck off.

Democratic Power Brokers Are Abandoning Kyrsten Sinema

The powerful pro-choice Democratic group EMILY’s List, one of Sinema’s top financial backers, announced on Tuesday that it would no longer support the senator in future elections if she continues to block the voting legislation.

Hours after EMILY’s List released its statement, reproductive rights group NARAL issued a similar announcement, saying that it wouldn’t endorse “any U.S. Senator who doesn’t support changing the Senate rules to pass voting rights legislation.”

course for the country is her mantra. However, to what end? It is unlikely she'll get the AZ D nomination for senator and there aren't enough Rs in AZ that would vote for a cross-over Dem. What she may end up doing (if she doesn't run for president) is split the D vote guaranteeing an R win.

Thu Jan 20, 2022, 04:30 PM

The handshakes for the two last night told it all.

Absolutely nothing passes that McTurtle doesn't want. He may not control the committees but...

1. Hawley and Cruz can stall virtually all nominations by Biden between them as directed by McConnell

2. Nothing goes past the filibuster since 2010 without the express, written consent of McTurtle -- it doesn't matter what is brought up. He can keep his 50 in line -- hell he would have to lose 9 before anything except reconciliation comes to a vote.

And in 4/8/12 years whenever the Rethugs have all three branches again the filibuster will be completely eliminated until after an election that they lose (if that is even possible with gerrymandering, voter suppression, and the over representation of empty cornfields in the senate and electoral college) it will be brought back as they leave office lamenting that it was wrong of them to change the rules.

Make no mistake -- this vote tells you that the large corporate interests and Moscow Mitch control everything that passes in the Senate.

McTurtle is losing a LOT of battles with every judge Biden gets confirmed. But those confirmations never get reported. The job market improvement, etc. gets ignored. On the other hand, every time someone pays two cents more for a gallon of gas somewhere, it gets reported more widely than Neil Armstrong walking on the moon. That is power McTurtle only wishes he had. This is heading to W.R. Hearst proportions.

More time for shopping at Forever 21 and Claire's, and fewer pesky Democrats to deal with.

Politics clearly aren't her road to fame and fortune. She's used everyone on her way up to where she is now, but she's burned her bridges along the way. There's nowhere else for her to go in politics, so the private sector is her only hope, but other than being a lobbyist I can't see the private sector beating down a path to her door.

Money is pouring into her from Rethugs. We have to be careful with both her and Manchin, and make sure that in November we pick up enough seats in the Senate to make them both irrelevant. We only need two. If either of those two throws a hissy fit, and they're both capable of it, they'll cross the aisle and hand the control of the Senate to McConnell, who will immediately blow up the filibuster, with their blessings. I mean, the bitch was even wearing a red dress yesterday, and was glowing when the rethugs alll lined up to shake her hand and thank her.

Wouldn't you just love to see the ultimate "mean girl" get her ass handed to her? I want to see her whine when her self-appointed importance is flushed.
