Fox News Sean Hannity sent then-White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany a plan to handle then-President Donald Trump the day after the deadly U.S. Capitol riot, according to newly released text messages.
Hannity messaged McEnany on Jan. 7, 2021, with a five point approach for conversations with Trump, according to a letter that the House committee investigating the Trump-incited violence released on Thursday. The letter, directed at daughter Ivanka Trump, asked her to submit to questioning by the panel.
The first two items on Hannitys plan of action read:
1- No more stolen election talk
2- Yes, impeachment and 25th amendment are real, and many people will quit
The letter did not reveal the third through fifth points.
McEnany responded: Love that. Thank you. That is the playbook. I will help reinforce, per the committee.

Hannity told McEnany it was key that no more crazy people were allowed access to the then-president.
Yes 100%, McEnany, who is now a host on the conservative network, replied.

(111,110 posts)"No more stolen election talk", he said.
There is a lot to be gleaned from Hannity's comments.
He believed talking about "stealing the election" caused the insurrection.
Also, he knew who the "crazy people" were that had access to Trump.
Also, he talked as if he was someone that had close access to the White House and knew all that was going on.
But, it was all after the "riot".

(9,410 posts)Hannity was NEVER, EVER a journalist. Some of his lemmings would like to think of him as one, but the fact that he starts out his "show" with a sermon and not facts is just one bit of proof. But God, no, he is not and NEVER will be one. Thank the Lord.

(1,979 posts)I don't believe for a minute that this came from Hannity. He was the messenger, delivering the message.
(My opinion) This goes MUCH higher (in $$$$) that an entertainment personality. 45 liked him and evidently trusted him - in as much as he trusted anyone - note that he is one of the few that 45 has not thrown away or cut the head off of. H was a useful tool for those that were really making the decisions. I think that as much as is beginning to be revealed will show -it will not really get to the backbone of this power grab. It has been said all along - follow the money. I think this is a billionaire attempted take over of The United States of America. And it may have been planned for a long time and goes very deep - I bet they have been coordinating this and waiting for their opportunity for years. Town by Town, City by City, State by State, up to the Top.
