Not often you remember what you were doing exactly 40 years ago

At 8 AM on 21 January 1982, I boarded a bus in central BC to take me to Vancouver for a flight to Cornwallis, Nova Scotia for Canadian Armed Forces basic training. I retired from the military after 33 1/2 years in 2015. It's hard to believe it was so long ago and, yet, seems such a short time.
