So tonight he recorded the game and we were watching something else and he was gong to watch it later. He was worried because Greenbay was ahead in the first quarter. Then I heard fireworks outside and said to my husband the 49ers won ! Being the nice wife I am I said you need to watch the game and Ill go upstairs and watch something I taped. But before I went upstairs I shouted from my deck F Aaron Rogers!
This is the second time he taped a football game to watch later and I told him the 49ers won after the Cowboys game after hearing fireworks go off in the city that echoes up where we live in the city.
The nice wife I am I told him I was ok with him visiting his 91 year old Mom in Arizona to watch the Super Bowl with her. I have several substitute teaching jobs and cant go but its more important he spends the Super Bowl with his Mom and perhaps the 49ers might be in it! I am so happy for him tonight !

the Niners run deep in our family. We are high fiving and toasting my late father who would have loved this so damned much.
Cheers Dad.

(3,370 posts)I normally give zero fucks about the Packers or 49'ers. I bleed Eagles green, yanno? But.....I was hoping that the anti-vaxxer MAGAt would lose tonight. I was not disappointed.

(1,241 posts)I was so disgusted with Aaron Rodgers after he made those disrespectful comments about President Biden.
But, now I think about the SF49ers win, and smile!

(7,608 posts)I follow and enjoy football, but my only rooting interest in the playoffs so far this year has been wanting Rodgers to lose. Mission accomplished.

(45 posts)But, I have been and will always be a Packer Fan. The Packers have a wonderful history, Arod withstanding. It is my sincere wish that the Packers win another SuperBowl some day, but in the mean-time, I hope for the firing of the Special Teams Coach.
