It was a coup on Jan 6. It was a coup in November of 2016 backed by Russia and the animal in Moscow. It was a coup in 2010 when the Pee Party AstroTurf pushed white supremacy to the mainstream of the Rethugs. TFG is a symptom, not the disease. We need to remember its his millions of minions who created him. TFG is just a slimey salesman who saw a new market to sell hate for money. He's their tool. The MAGATS will cast him aside the second his usefulness is over. The real problem we have to come to grips with is the people that recruited him. We want to blame Russia for it all (And there is a lot to blame Russia for) but the hard truth is millions of "Americans" want fascism and TFG was just the doofus stand in for their HATE. The real question is how far are we willing to go to save our Democracy from people for whom cruelty is the point.

BTW I have been lurking on DU for years but this is my first post. Excited to be here everyone!
