She will likely get access to monoclonal antibodies and the new therapies for COVID-19, unlike the unwashed masses who follow people like her who spout anti-vax nonsense.

3. Funny that, they are will to take that treatment without knowing what is in it

but won't take the vaccine, go figure. Our accountant, who was unvaxxed (said he just didn't get around to it and felt invincible) in his early 40's ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks, 8 days on a ventilator and got the monoclonal antibodies but was sick for a total of 2 months.

4. It is not a rational process.

COVID-19 hit my immediate family, My son, daughter, and wife were hit, I don't know how I didn't get it, but not questioning I guess. We are all vaccinated and those of us who were eligible, were boosted. My wife and son were down for a couple of days with flu like symptoms but are back up and doing fine. My daughter got a sore throat and runny nose for about 4 days, and she is better.

Meanwhile, my brother in law, an anti-vaxxer has been sick since December and is in the hospital. Fortunately no ventilator, but he has cannulated oxygen and has to be face down unless being fed.


All that I understand of the mindset is that it is almost completely emotional and any "explanation" is a weak attempt to rationalize irrational, emotionally driven behavior.
