A new EPIC-MRA poll in Michigan shows Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) leading her re-election race against challenger James Craig (R), 46% to 41%.

Another 13% remain undecided or refused to say who they would vote for.

1. That can't be right

All I've been hearing for the last three months is how badly Democrats are going to do in 2022, because Republicans are yammering their fool heads off, opposing highly popular programs and proposals, which just shows the American people what do-nothing mavericks they are.

Is it possible the highly-paid pundits are . . . less than 100% right?

One race out of many doesn't establish a trend.

I don't say this an exercise in doomsaying, but you'd be silly to disregard aggregate data because one Democratic governor looks well-position to win reelection.

2. If the Dem isn't over 50%, they are behind.

We've learned this by now. There are almost no undecided voters. It's just MAGANazis who want to play around with polls.

4. Gov Whitmer will be re-elected.

Also our legislature will flip from R to D now that the state is ungerrymandered.
