Bank exec who threw drink and racist tirade gets fired and now arrested, good

Spouting racist tropes at PoC and being violent needs to be expensive

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/james-iannazzo-robeks-smoothie-arrested-alleged-racist-tirade-son-severe-allergic-reaction/?fbclid=IwAR0bsjpeTOtsF_cyEarq81yVsvFczbxnXzBvvy4Epst7Fc83x0zJRNGkAG0

Iannazzo was charged with intimidation based on bigotry or bias, breach of peace, and criminal trespass.

Like others have asked why go into a place that sells peanut anything and order any of their food for someone with a peanut allergy ?!!?

I have a relative with peanut allergies and simply walking into an establishment that served them caused adverse reactions.

According to Fairfield police, Iannazzo made a purchase at Robeks without an issue. Then around 1:39 p.m., he called 911 requesting an EMS come to his home for a juvenile having a reaction to a peanut allergy. The teenager was later taken to an area hospital.

. . .

“After he started to drink his smoothie, my son lost the capacity to breathe properly; his lips and face swelled up, and he required an EpiPen shot, but it did not offer him relief. I called 911. My son then went to the bathroom, threw up and fell unconscious to the floor. He threw up again. My wife gave him another EpiPen while I called 911 again. Thank God, he is doing okay.”

Iannazzo said he believes the first responders saved his son’s life
, noting that this situation is “the worst nightmare of every parent whose child has a similar allergy.”

It doesn't excuse his racist tirade - but 911 was called and his son was taken to the hospital.

He bought his son a smoothie made in a store that routinely adds peanut butter to their products. It's entirely possible that the staff left peanut butter out of his drink. The risk of cross contamination is great, and he gambled his son's life!

I can’t see that scenario of ordering food from a place like that if your son has a bona fide peanut allergy happening either. We can then add ‘liar’ to the long list of ways he sucks as a human being.

If the kid is that sensitive, this idiot shouldn't be buying anything for him at this store.
That said, he didn't go to the hospital first, so maybe his son isn't that allergic.
Or, he made the whole thing up & his kid just doesn't like peanuts.
Either way, he's going to have a tough time getting off on those charges. The video is quite damning.

or that trace peanut proteins won't be accidentally introduced from equipment or from ingredients held in bins. In any event, there's way more polite and civilized and LEGAL ways to address one's concerns in a business establishment. This man's inner ugliness was on full peacock display.

One was on her second day of the job. Pretty stupid to trust your son's life on that.
If son has a severe peanut allergy, dude should have been making milkshakes at home from known ingredients. Not ordering them from a place full of peanuts.
