My long held belief about the 2016 election ...

You know how Trump knows the 2020 election was rigged. He just KNOWS it! Ever since election 2016 when the tide turned against Hillary so quickly, I've suspected he had something to do with it. I know a couple of books said he never expected to win, but maybe that explains why. I have no proof or evidence. Just a funny feeling.

3. I can understand that feeling, and I love Hillary, but she was also deeply damaged in 2016.

From decades of right wing smears, Benghazi, etc. When the Comey letter dropped 10 days before the election, polling showed her lead in critical swing states falling into the margin of error. Like I said, I absolutely love her and think she's amazing, but she was pretty deeply unpopular with a lot of voters that were on the fence, and Trump managed to capitalize on that using misogyny and then Russian disinformation campaigns.

If you want an example, Hillary got 581K votes in the 2016 Michigan primary. Four years later, Joe Biden got 840K. Decades of smears from the right wing propaganda machine absolutely did a number on her and made millions of Americans across the county believe they couldn't trust her.

You're not wrong in your belief, and there's enough evidence available to all of us to support it. The fact that Trump and Barr kneecapped Mueller only forced us to move on at the time....and now we have bigger fish to fry with the events of 1/6/21 to investigate and try.
