The most gob-smacking thing I've ever seen posted by an anti vaxxer.

I hope you can read it - not sure how to make it even bigger to make the script clearer. Back story: Shari just lost her husband to Covid-19. She harassed the hospital staff, constantly, trying to get them to administer things like heavy dose Vitamin C drips and allow her to bring in some 'red light therapy' (photobiomodulation). Not sure what that is but it sounds cumbersome. She asked people to contact the hospital, if they refused this therapy, and push them to change their minds. Apparently the staff had enough and allowed it.

Anyway...........this was one of her FB posts. The 3rd response comment is priceless.

Sorryantivaxxers has a video of her doing an animated prayer over her prone husband. She's pretty 'religious'. And, of course, she's is totally blaming the hospital for her husband's death. I've included the link, in case anyone wants to take a dip in a deep pool of insanity.

Two old white guys at a coffee shop were jawing and I caught a lot of the action and it went like this, in a friendly badgering back-and-forth:

A: "I could be talking to a ghost you...!"
B: "Don't know what that has to do with not wanting to..."
A: "IF, IF, IF...you parents didn't get you vaccinated for Rubella, polio, hepatitis, tetanus (others I couldn't remember)."
B: "So what if they did...my choice now is not to get it."
A: "The point is you could maybe be dead now from those, if your parents...think about that, you could be dead!"

I had all three and was lucky to sail through them. I lost track of how many vaccinations I received while in the Navy.

My great niece got the first round of vaccinations, when she was an infant, and then her parents went off the rails, became rabid anti vaxxers and she hasn't received any, since. I live in constant worry about her. Not so much her parents since they are willfully not getting vaccinated against Covid.

And few kids die from it now (>3000/yr.) but many complications of heart and kidney damage. Antibiotics work as it is bacterial, but I still hear of older people suffering its effects from childhood infections.

if it's not treated, or not treated adequately.

My brother and I both got it when we were little, I guess when the initial round of antibiotics didn't clear up the original strep throat. It cleared up with more antibiotics.

In the days before antibiotics, many people died from it, and many others suffered long term damage that often caused them to die young from heart problems.

There's no need for a vaccine against strep, since it's easily treated.
