There isn’t any rush - and doing so just makes it look like senators who said the job couldn’t be done well in that little time were lying.

What if one of the older Democratic senators passes away? God forbid it would be someone like Senator Leahy who is 80 years old and has a Republican governor in his state.

We're already down 6-3 in the SCOTUS. We need to get Biden's pick confirmed and seated ASAP. As much as I love Ruth Bader Ginsburg, she should have resigned when we had the Senate in under Obama. I am sure that she, like everyone else, thought Clinton would beat Trump and wanted Clinton to appoint her successor... but look how that turned out?

I'm certain folks said "there isn't any rush" back then, too, because I have people in my circle of friends who said exactly that despite my protests that there was, in fact, a rush.

but if she is confirmed before Breyer retires she can still be a part of the court. I am going to have to look this one up but there is a benefit to getting her confirmed quickly.
