This tweet is kind of dumb.

(10,163 posts)They could remove Joe Rogan or Neil Young. They decided on Neil Young.
Yes, Neil complained and all that. But if Spotify had decided against the guy who was spreading lies and got rid of him, does anyone really believe Neil would have pulled out?
The end result was a choice for Spotify, no matter how you cut it. And they chose Joe Rogan.

(3,491 posts)They wouldnt have done anything if he hadnt asked. They also pay Rogan $100 million for his inexplicably wildly popular podcast. They werent going to eat that.
If they chose anything, they chose money.

(10,163 posts)Neil asked to be removed because the liar Joe Rogan was not removed. They knew that was their choice. Spotify did not remove Joe, so Neil removed himself. Obviously one or the other. That is a choice. Yeah, Neil gave them the choice. He offered them one or the other...it was still their choice to make.
Not sure if Rogan is all that popular. His contract was probably just more expensive. Yeah, they always choose money over people. It's what corporations are designed to do.
