From the Warnock campaign:
"I have exciting news! We just launched the very first TV ad of our reelection campaign and it's a special one.
It tells the story of everyday Georgians who are struggling to make ends meet and why I'm in this fight to carry their voices all the way to Washington."

I don't think Dems will win if they don't touch on the insurrection and the lies and crimes of the GOP. It's a target-rich environment. You can't soft-shoe it all the time, even if you are a pastor.
Just MHO.

(12,154 posts)You live in Texas, I see, so you'll understand what I'm talking about.
In the televised debate he had with Kelly Loeffler before the January 2021 runoff, she kept trying to needle Warnock and get him to act like the stereotypical Angry Black Man, because of course that would alienate many of the white suburban soccer moms who were leaning D. He did speak up for himself, but he never allowed her to get under his skin. His firm but calm, unflappable demeanor served him well as he went on to defeat the crooked insider trading plutocrat.
I trust his team to craft a message that will appeal to the right mix of voters this time around. We're blessed with a Republican opponent in Herschel Walker (assuming he stays in and wins the R primary) who has a unique set of liabilities. It will be interesting, and I think there is a lot of cause for optimism here in 2022. We're going to have to work our asses off to make good things happen, of course, but a lot of us are eager to do that.

(9,008 posts)white folk are indeed quite eager to get agitated at the "angry black man" which is likely why Obama never lost his cool.
