Stewart mocks Mourdock for having to deny he worships a rape-loving deity

On his show Thursday night, Jon Stewart of The Daily Show tore into Indiana Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock. The GOP candidate recently said that pregnancies that result from rape were “something God intended to happen.” Stewart remarked that it was a bad sign when a candidate was forced to hold a press conference to clarify that he does not worship a rape-loving deity.

I'll take them seriously when they couple "fetus is a person" with "mother gets tax deduction". HopeHoops Oct 2012 #2

Since the average sexually active woman conceives roughly six times per year (most of which don't implant), then that should be an automatic tax deduction of six dependents plus children. Then again, it would be easier to start by giving a tax deduction for an abortion or miscarriage - simpler to calculate with the GOP's limited cranial matter. They want it both ways.

A zygote is a person, but not for tax purposes. A zygote is a person until it is born, and then it becomes a Welfare cheat. This has bothered me about the GOP for over 30 years. It's a blatant contradiction and not in line with any religious teachings I'm aware of, and certainly not those of Jesus.
