Not clear what "stewardship" as opposed to ownership might be, but handing it over the CFC Charitable Trust. Probably fearing sanctions affecting the cashflow from Stamford Bridge.

Something to do with how the sanctions work make a sale difficult at the moment. And even I don't want to see an old, storied team go under like that.
