I saw this song live in concert in Japan in 88, not this particular performance. It brought tears to my eyes then and tears to my eyes now.

I had not heard this particular song you posted but it proves Denver's strong attachment to Mother Earth.
We lost him too soon.

I saw him perform this song live in concert with the video playing in the background. It gave me chills and tears in my eyes. Still does. I really miss him.

(102,342 posts)And yes, John Denver was an environmentalist, ecologist, human rights crusader before any of that was especially accepted or "cool" for celebrities/musicians. He was vastly underappreciated. I miss him too.
