I am always skeptical about the accuracy of war reports provided by either side during a conflict.

As much as I would like to believe good news, I remember the reporting during the first Gulf War and how many of the reports didn't stand up to post-war scrutiny.

“The first casualty when war comes is truth, and whenever there is a war, and whenever an individual nation seeks to coerce by force of arms another, it always acts and always insists that it acts under self-defense.” Senator Hiram Johnson of California, 1929 as quoted by the Baltimore Sun.

critical things about ongoing military activities, movements of units, etc. I'd prefer these things to be 'secret', after all, it is war.

to use nuclear weapons and asking for Belarus to send in troops, means things are off to a rough start for Russia.

They can only relay what they themselves are seeing and hearing but some of them did tours in Iraq and know what to look for and who to follow to get real info.

Any sudden super news is suspect.

Wait about 3 days to start getting some accuracy.

Then we have to wait more to get a full story.
