4. I'm quite confident that there is a coming election.

Obama will will, no problem.
But in states like Missouri, believe it or not the Todd Akin's have a real chance. Then we have states like Kansas and Oklahoma that are all but totally out of touch with reality.

7. Even with poor turnout, Obama will win easily

He has massive brand recognition and celebrity status. Romney (who?) doesn't.

House and Senate will likely see GOP gains though. The Democrats aren't doing ANYTHING to promote down ticket races. But that's what both parties want.

...the republicans will, once again, work hard to steal millions of votes like they always do.

What? You don't think they conspire to steal elections?

The question is: Will Obama fight for each vote, or will he fold?

9. I never have confidence in the American Electorate

I have seen them vote against their best interest many times over the last 30 plus years. They love smoke & mirrors and seem to believe anything, fast talking politicians tell them to make them feel better. I am sure the real back bone of the US economy is the selling of the Brooklyn Bridge over and over.

I still have hope that President Obama will win and the Democrats will still have the Senate. The House however I feel will still be Republican.

10. Confident but cautious

I side with the math. Obama should win enough battle states to take the election - but I'm cautious because there is a narrow but clear path for a Romney win built into the math.

I can't accept the possible outcomes I like, and reject the possible outcomes that disappoint me. Math is math.

12. I am not too much worried about the Presidential race, but down ticket concerns me

I think the Republicans have been smart to push a lot of their money to the down ticket races whereas the Democrats (Party structure) seem to focus on the 'swing states' almost to the exclusion of the lower vote-density states. In this sense we are still the 47% who really don't seem to matter.
