Quinnipac poll says majority of Democrats would leave country in case of Invasion not stay and fight

Some interesting things here.

Mainly I think that we are a majority of the party of peace and not fighting. That has its pros and cons of course. This poll doesn't distress me at all but it is interesting. Feel free to share your thoughts.
Eko.

Forgot to add link to the poll, apologies.

imagine what an invasion such that "staying or leaving" would be like. Very, very few of us have ever experienced anything like it, and I find it unrealistic that people could accurately determine what their path of action might be.

If a country was strong enough to get boots on the ground in the US, where else do you think you'd be safe in the world?

It distresses the hell out of me. If you can't even fight for your home, what kind of citizen are you?

So, since majority of Democrats are women, then it stands to reason that they would be seeking safety for their children and families as many men stayed to fight.

If you don’t consider that crucial aspect you could be easily led by the headlines to believe Democratic men are less willing to fight an invasion by hostile forces as Republican men.

I am not going to give Republicans I know, in general, to be cowardly bastards any edge in the bravery column they don’t deserve.

Your mileage may vary.

Rural tends Repub.... less chance of actually becoming a target. Easy to talk big when you are in East Bumfuck, Nebraska.

Cities are Dem... and prime targets, with no place to hide. Look at what's happening in Ukraine.

And anybody who talks about "staying and fighting" might be the first one who runs like a bunny when the shit starts. We won't know until/unless it happens.

and collude with an imposed authoritarian state than fight. France's Vichy government chose to use Germany's help to impose their strong conservatism on a nation that rejected it. We see the same deal-with-Satan attitude here among radicalized types who'll do anything and betray all to get their way.

Fight schmight. Most of the trumpists, and some of the far left, would see invasion as a way to finally get rid of liberals/Democrats -- and Putin and subversive domestic leaders would work hard to make that happen. Those people (famously) don't know themselves.

Although I don't doubt some on the left would run if they could (can't expect people who don't know why they should vote for their liberal democracy to have the commitment to fight), I suspect these figures are affected by rejection of living under a repressive, anti-democracy regime.
