Ex-Russian oligarch says one moment in war drove Putin 'insane'

For those who don't want to watch, he says that when they didn't greet him with flowers in the streets, that's when he "went crazy" and started shelling towns indiscriminately. He says it's very important that President Biden says things like what he's said, that people like Putin cannot be in power. He further states that it's important NATO emphasize that if he uses WMDs, he will be met with appropriate force.

He thinks Putin has three options right now on getting out, 1. keep pressuring Ukraine and lose more troops, as the Ukranians fight ever stronger each day, 2. use WMDs in hopes that this would force the Ukranians to retreat, 3. start actual negotiations.

He concludes that, when President Biden and NATO say in one voice that if he uses WMDs, you'll get an appropriate response from NATO, it gives Putin only one choice: go to the negotiating table.

Lot of interesting insights in this interview, and not so very long ago, this guy was extremely wealthy and powerful in Russia. When he criticized Putin and said he may run against him, he lost his company and was put in prison for ten years. He knows how he ticks.
