Well... an oligarch's gotta' get his money somewhere. Why the T-14 tank hasn't been seen in Ukraine

Really a funny story...

So the Russians FINALLY design a new Main Battle Tank as a LONG delayed competitor to the US M1 Abrams.

It's shown in 2015 at their Victory Day parade...

It's thoroughly modern, copies lots of M1 Abrams features, has an armored crew compartment, an autonomous turret, armored ammo storage, advanced armor, fires several different armament... low silhouette...

And 7 years after it was displayed, they may only have between 9-20 T-14's...

Look to the owner of the tank factory and count how many yachts he has.

by hand-held javelin missiles.

The Abrams can take it.

I think the real reason is the Russians know that if one of them were to be captured by the Ukrainians, within 12 hours it would be sitting on a US Army M1070 heavy equipment transporter heading straight to Bremerhaven so it could be shipped to Fort Hood…where a team of experts from the CIA, NSA, US Army Tank and Automotive Command, US Army III Corps, Goodyear, General Dynamics Land Systems, Watervliet Arsenal, Rheinmetall and Snap-On Tools would take the vehicle completely apart for the most thorough technical analysis ever conducted in the history of this country. And then they’d put it back together and ship it to Fort Benning to use as a training aid.

Also, a Russian tank would be assembled with metric fasteners and very few, if any, American vehicles use them. So... "hi, Snap-On Tools? You know all those metric tools you make? We need five of each."
