Jason Sullivan, a right-wing communications specialist and former associate of Republican political consultant Roger Stone, held a call one week before the January 6 Capitol storming in which he urged Trump supporters to go to the Capitol to make lawmakers "sweat" about certifying President Joe Biden's 2020 election win, according to the

Sullivan encouraged Trump supporters to "descend on the Capitol" as part of a plan to put "pressure" on lawmakers to block the election's certifications, the Times reported, citing a recording it obtained.
He reportedly added he expected then-President Donald Trump to put a "limited form of martial law" in place on January 6, 2021, in response.
According to the Times, at least one person on the call was a member of the right-wing militant group 1st Amendment Praetorian, whose leader was subpoenaed by the January 6 committee.

Perhaps the most important item in this article is where it notes this assclown anticipated Trump to declare martial law. As I've noted on this forum consistently since the insurrection, the Bannon-Stone plan included a belief that hundreds -- if not thousands -- of BLM and antifa folks would be there to do battle with the Trump militia. It had been discussed with Trump himself -- one need only look back to the film of Mike the Pillow Head entering the White House post-election defeat -- with documents that when enlarged, had a title about martial law. Or listen to General Flynn talking about martial law at the same time. This was not coincidence.

But it is not him, alone. That's a point that I think is too frequently overlooked on DU, as we approach the November elections. There is a core group that was in the shadows of the Trump misadministration, which has metastasized since January 6. They had -- and have -- a goal of infecting the American body of politics at all levels, from the grass roots to DC. Many of them are more intelligent and capable as the Trumpites, and just as dangerous. They are organizing as we speak.

We can defeat them in November. But not by the grass roots morphing into bumps on a log. I was talking with a good friend on DU yesterday about this ..... in the context of much of the posting here being essentially of the mindset that poses a greater risk to our chances in November than the republicans. Thus, I not only love your OP, but I double-love it! It brings the threat into sharp focus.
