[Jew-hatred is as old as the Judean Hills, predating even the rebellion of the Jewish nation against Roman imperialism and colonialism from 66 to 73 C.E./A.D. Among the
punishments Rome inflicted: renaming the conquered Jewish territories.]

Previously today I responded to an OP/Thread about current anti-semitic behavior and
that thread can be found here:

I decided that rather than clutter up that thread I'd start this OP/Thread to say that
the hatred of Jews/Jew-Hatred/Anti-Semitism is far older than The KKK or today's
White Supremacists. We can be sure that back in the first century A.D. the
Romans were Nationalists and Supremacists.
Here in 2022 A.D. all forms of hate have become institutionalized. Hate is a feature,
not a bug. Yes, we need to be taking care of this but it also helps to know that it's
been a problem for a long, long time and we all better get to work.

They were grouped as nations/tribes.

When did we start the concept of race?
The concept of race emerged in the mid-17th century as a means for justifying the enslavement of Africans in colonial America, Conklin said, and scientists eventually devised theories to uphold the system of forced labor.Oct 21, 2021
Different theories promote the ideas of 3, 4, or 5 races.
All 'races' have a history of slavery in their past.
Some still do but in limited areas.

(54,013 posts)I stated in the other thread, which now has more people commenting and concerned about your comment than the original post about anti-Semitism, thus my first comment.
Anti-Semitism has roots as far back as to BCE and centuries before Rome came onto the picture. I am not surprised people know so little about the history of anti-Semitism, it is long and complicated, much like the history of the Jews, which few people seem to understand or take into account. When it comes to Jews and hatred against us, few seem to care or understand unless it can be spun into another narrative or is discussed in tandem with a variety of other bigotries. There is also the nasty of habit of those who decry telling others what and how their experiences are, but when it comes to telling Jews (to say 'splaining" ), suddenly everyone is an instant expert in anti-Semitism, Jews and our history and culture.
"Hate is a feature, not a bug." That sums it up.
