Should women be allowed to attack men without fear of a counter attack?

I did something I very rarely do which is go out with some friends to listen to some music. While we were waiting to get in a woman was refused entry for being drunk and she didn't like that. She got into a physical confrontation with security and her punches weren't doing much when all of a sudden she went for the security guy's eyes with her nails and left 3 bloody gouges just missing his eye and he immediately decked her and she was out cold. I was taught never to hit a lady but I have to question whether this woman was a lady or not, she certainly didn't act like one.

And, yes, one should avoid becoming intoxicated if this is the sort of behavior which ensues, but it is important to remember that in confrontations with intoxicated people, you are not dealing with their best or ordinary self.

The bouncer is in a difficult position since he has to stand his post and cannot simply avoid a fight by walking away, but should also use the minimum force necessary to take control of the situation. If he was injured by surprise and might anticipate further injury, he should find a way to stop the attack, and may have had a visceral reaction to almost having been blinded. Not having been there, I don't think it would be appropriate to judge.

If they won't let you leave, fight back. This case is different, and his actions would likely be deemed justified.

to cover up if attacked by anyone, no matter their gender. I worry about law suits in situations like that.

However, if someone was breaking through my defenses and starting to cause me injury, I'd nail them. Again, no matter the gender of the person.

For a man to wreck a bitch if she causes physical harm to that man and continues the violent acts. Playtime is over if ANYONE goes hands on FIRST and KEEPS UP the attack. Nope…play stupid games win stupid prizes.

I mean you really can’t phrase it differently?

C’mon. I agree with the jist of your post but can you not rephrase that?

This was an issue of self-defense. I am not sure what her gender has to do with it.

Cops do the same. They see evidence on the man, they arrest the woman.

If a woman attacked me with intent to cause serious injury I would first try to get away, and if that failed I would defend myself enough to stop the attack. Trying to gouge out a guy's eyes seems to fit that criteria.
