7. Everyone should very much be afraid of a Sixth World War.

I have to wonder just why a global catastrophe and the vastly increased suffering that it would certainly involve is not an issue to those who advocate the insertion of NATO ground troops into Ukraine?

8. Because if Russia wins in Ukraine, it will then invade a Baltic country.

Since NATO is not helping a neighbor in which Russia is practicing genocide on that country, Putin believes that NATO won't help a Baltic country. Article 5 doesn't matter to him. He thinks that the NATO countries are afraid of nuclear war and will stand down.

seems that you got it down word for word or perhaps is it what you believe Putin might be thinking?

So here's a question. If he wasn't afraid of NATO and Article 5 then why would he have not started in the Baltic? Just how does that work?

How does it work when the war expands beyond the Ukraine with your apparent suggestion to insert NATO ground or air forces?

How much more suffering will be inflicted on militaries and civilians alike even if an expanded war does not go nuclear?

How many are you willing to sacrifice in Europe, Asia, North America and on the high seas?

10. He wants Ukraine first. He didn't expect the war to go for than a few days.

Next would come Moldova. Then with troops in Ukraine and Belarus, he would have troops on 2/3 at least on Poland's Border. That would hold up Polish troops. Next comes Estonia, then Latvia. Then Lithuania with Russian troops on almost its entire border.

His land forces are being chewed up in Ukraine. He has no real ability to take on much more than what he has now. That does not mean that he is not able to create a great deal of suffering in other theaters should NATO become directly involved.

Thank goodness for the sane, sober, and level headed judgment of President Biden and his team!

I have full faith in the President to navigate this crisis unlike some here who seemingly prefer a global catastrophe to a very bad limited war.
