I'm kind of disappointed Burning Man is happening this year

We go up there after the event to launch rockets, Black Rock Desert is the only place we can get launch windows up to 250,000', and you wouldn't believe the trash along the road and on the playa, one year there was even an airliner fuselage left behind. I would have thought this was against the ethics of the event but it seems to have gotten worse starting in 2015, they get warned by BLM but nothing serious is ever done and it happens again the next year. They need to leave the the playa in the same condition as they when they got there or just stay home.

once it went "commercial" it was over... it's more like a coachella thing now than art and sustainability... but I've never been.

Here in Tahoe you always know when BM is cuz you see them coming back through town with playa dust all over their cars etc

We are on the playa 2 weeks after the event for XPRS and would run into their clean up crew making sure no trash was left. I believe they are allowed 1 sq ft of trash per acre but lately BLM says they are leaving over 7 sq ft of trash per acre.
