Well! If Macheezy McCarthy wanted to tell Trump to step down? Why didn't he do it?

It proves that McCarthy was involved from the start? Why else would he and Trump talk after the release of the tapes last night? Simple! So they could get their stories straight!

if he had went to trump, maybe take along Liz Cheney.

But no, he's a coward and has most likely now blown his chance to ever be Speaker now that his spinelessness has come out.

Then quailed when he got face-to-face with the former guy, because McCarthy is petrified of him. But why did he lie this week when confronted with quotes of what he said 15 months ago? Was he just trying to brazen it out, hoping that nobody had recorded his empty bravado?

I don't think Mensa is going to be calling Kevin McCarthy anytime soon.

them completely throwing their support behind TFG and the "Big Lie"?

McCarthy wants to be Speaker of the House. He (along with the rest of the GOP opportunists) knows he can't even get reelected without Trump's voter base supporting him.

When the opportunists are faced with choosing between what's right and Trump, they choose Trump.
