GOP Rep. Kevin McCarthy scrambles to contain fallout from leaked tape on Trump and Jan. 6

The leaked audio not only revealed how Republican leaders privately described the former president as unfit for office but also how they publicly kowtowed to him for the sake of their own political futures.

*snip*

"I'd be surprised if the (House Republican) conference turns on him," said Republican strategist Alex Conant. "The one variable is if Trump goes to war on him."

No wonder they screech with anger all the time. They conflicted. And not just about trump and rule of law. They fight a culture war but participate in some of the culture they want to eliminate.

Somewhere in their brain they rationalize that they can be traitors, hypocrites and criminals just so long as they're not gay.

audio recordings and videos to be released. Poor old McCarthy wont have any free time for cocaine fueled sex orgies if he is scrambling around to contain them all.

I asked him personally today, does he hold responsibility for what happened? Does he feel bad about what happened? He told me he does have some responsibility for what happened. And he needs to acknowledge that."

Call me crazy, but isn't "responsibility" for planning and inciting a deadly insurrection a prosecutable offense?

Their covid policy killed people, so does gun violence.
Insulin prices, lack of health care, financial hardships.

They don't care at all about the American people.

They spread hatred and fear and don't care how that hurts Americans and destroys our democracy.
