I can't say if THIS happened but I believe it. He had the poor sense to show up at a July 4 parade in Paintsville quite a few years ago and you could hear the boos coming from way up the street. It was like a wave that followed him.

I think in 2018 he got heckled all the way out of a couple restaurants in the Louisville area.

For more than a decade it has been a bafflement to me how he wins. No one likes him.

The news stories popped up in my search for this, as a matter of fact. And IIRC, there was video to go with it.

Damned near every kid has a phone these days, so you'd think SOMEONE would have recorded Moscow Mitch (R-Yertle The Turtle) being booed like that.

39. Not finding any confirmation here that this actually happened.

At least it appears to have not hit any news outlets. I've searched our three major network TV stations and our beloved liberal LEO newspaper, and found nothing.

I wonder if this could be an exaggeration by Mr. Bell's kid. Typically, our public school officials would not allow such open rebellion resulting in a Federal office holder running away. If so, there would be severe consequences.

As an aside for those who might wonder, Louisville duPont Manual High School was originally a school established for educating kids in the skilled manual crafts such as carpentry, metal working and machining, and was supported strongly by local industry including the duPont Corp. who has a large checmical plant here. At least that is what I was told by some old-timers back in the 70s after moving here.
