I get what you are saying but her being at meetings meant there was someone anyone who wasn’t just kissing his ass. Fauci and her have played the game long enough to know what to do.

He decided he’d run them not Pence after the first one. Free advertising, captive audience, worlds greatest salesman all that. The people who watched were basically repulsed by what they saw. He jogged the camera frame (while everyone else was distancing). Complete nonsense like this and ZERO empathy. That turned off a lot of women swing voters.

It’s hard for an incumbent to lose but he did.
