What DeSantis and his cronies did is not just illegal, it is a corporate crime. A state cannot break a contract just because the governor is miffed. I don't know what kind of lawyers the state of Florida has that they allowed him to make this clear violation of the law but there will be more than just financial consequences. DeSantis can be brought up on criminal charges. Among other things it is illegal for a political entity to punish a business which has not committed a crime and Disney did not violate any terms of the agreement they made with Florida more than 50 years ago (and I believe the contact is valid for 100 years). At the least, DeSantis and his cronies should be forced to resign in disgrace.

I can't predict how this will end up.

All I know is DeSantis is dancing through a minefield and he seems to be blindfolded.
Disney's lawyers are all saying, "Hold my beer!"

And it's an unusual situation, anyway. Apparently the state of Florida had the right to rescind this.

Apparently, from what I've read here.. this will put more Burden on Tax Payers in Central Florida.

I hope ds Revenges himself right out of a job.
