Enthusiasm to defeat the theocratic SCOTUS takeover is sorely needed!

I was sad to see a post self-deleted by another user, who called for reforms to / packing of SCOTUS - and was met with by the understandable range of cheers, skepticism and accusations of naïveté.

We need to protect the law, and reform this corrupt and ideologically assembled right wing Court. However we need 67 Senators for such strategies.

Or we abolish the filibuster, and leave these matters open to ongoing flips and chaos as different groups achieve a simple majority. The GOP, if and when they achieve power in the Senate, could and may well do the same to solidify and extend their manipulation of SCOTUS. No easy answers nor guarantees.

The way to fight this is reforming the Court, no doubt. But it has to be accomplished lawfully and politically.

And to that other user - don’t give up your passion or imagination. Ultimately that’s exactly what it will take to prevent an antidemocratic takeover.

any action/tool taken in defense ...

(of course, we do have our revolutionaries that think it should all come down - but 'revolutions' have a nasty habit of not only getting people killed, but of ultimately not serving the people very well.)
