When someone says "its not about me".....it's about them (Nina Turner)

I want to thank all of you across Greater Cleveland and so many more across the country who supported this upstart grassroots campaign with your time, your passion, and your dollars. I can tell you that this team left it all on the field.

We fought through the $3 million in outside money from every corporate interest you can name: the oil companies, the drug companies, the crypto speculators, and even Trump donors. We went door to door talking to the people of Greater Cleveland. But all the hours of our volunteers, the tireless efforts of our dedicated staff and the generosity of our small dollar donors, just could not – on this particular day – beat the onslaught of corporate spending that swamped this district and its people.

This election was never about me nor was it about Shontel Brown. These outside corporate special interests who not only invaded this community but who are doing it in community after community are trying to keep you from getting the higher wages you need. They are trying to keep you from getting relief from high gas prices, high food prices and high medicine prices. They are trying to keep you from getting quality, affordable health care or a higher education. But most importantly they are trying to rob this community and this nation of hope – hope that things can be better, fairer and more just.

Of course elections are about the people running in them. The concept of "cult of personality" is not imaginary.
So, her basic premise is idiotic. That makes the rest of the statement empty & does nothing to dilute the stupid.

Tester, jon has written and sponsored a bill with other democrats to address it. This is just one example of the corporate power she is talking about. She is alittle raw around the edges but her ideas have regular people at the center.

I wish we could find a way to compromise with her vision and use that energy to win across the country.

...she's saying corporations are conspiring to keep her from getting elected.

Considering that she lost last year's special election, perhaps the voters are conspiring as well?

Is exactly what she says

Ms brown has a clear win here so I don’t see the need to belittle her opponent…. I would think a huge democratic supporter like you should know we need the thirty per cent that voted for turner in the primary to embrace the democratic candidate in the November election

Unless there is an objective besides winning?

I said NOTHING about corporations. So, your reply to my post would seem to a non sequitur.
It has absolutely zero to do with my point.
If you've read some of my posts recently, you would know that I believe oil & gas are being manipulated daily to maintain excessive prices, that were never justified by Russia's actions in the first place. So, I'm no apologist for predatory capitalists. Making your reply even further disconnected.
