(30,540 posts)but lost. Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer were both in the Senate at the time, this worked against Rice. Too many women holding all the top offices was too much for some voters to handle. It also didn't help that there was a proposition placed on the ballot that drew conservatives to the polls.

(2,403 posts)That it hasnt happened yet in those states doesnt mean it wont, or that there is necessarily an issue. I dont look at it like a checkbox item.

(50,557 posts)The Trump-approved candidate for Idaho governor is Janice McGeachin, who makes Donald Trump look completely sane, rational and not to the right whatsoever. Oh. My. Cthulhu. This individual only tried to overthrow the governor three times.

(4,361 posts)Proudly, MICHIGAN has had two female governors, both since the change of the millenium, and both Democratic (naturally)...
Jennifer Granholm, who is now in the Biden cabinet, and our current governor, G. Whitmer, who was previously my own state senator...
