One of its most modern warships. Not sunk apparently, but heavily damaged. Russia is still not confirming but given the way they are hiding it and multiple western sources I’m inclined to believe it. Also one of their most modern tanks went to Ukraine and was destroyed within days. That’s not particulary surprising but adds to the Russians not being all that impressive.

Monday is victory day in Russia. Putin will probably try to declare some kind of victory, but I wonder if the average Russian is going to buy that, even with the tight media control. More and more Russians are going to start realizing the truth. Not sure that’ll make a difference yet, but I think it will sooner or later. Maybe Putin is going to declare that the eastern region of Ukraine has been secured and that was all he wanted to do.

This whole "Mythical Monster Tank enters Ukraine and is destroyed" is hyperbole.

Kinda like "Ghost of Kiev"...

The T-90M is the latest in a 30 year string of T-90 tanks.

And it's not the most modern Russian tank, that's the T-14.

5. As I said it is one of their most modern tanks. I don't believe it had been deployed in Ukraine

Previously, but I could be wrong. Also that’s not a particularly big deal compared to losing modern warships. It seems that the Russians are using their second string equipment mostly and thought that would be sufficient.

7. Maybe the Russian weapons really are very advanced (starting to have doubts).

But tactics and operational coordination and intelligence sure seems to be lacking. Sort of like the first year or so of Barbarossa. I’d think it’s pretty embarrassing for the Russians. Let’s hope they don’t keep throwing men and money at Ukraine because they might actually start figuring things out after awhile.

8. I just read that the T-90s were being kept out of Ukraine because they are pieces of shit

But many are being sold on the international market so the Russians didn’t want it known how vulnerable they are. Supposed to be 20 tons less than other heavy MBT types. That’s probably fine if you are not facing modern weapons.

Subpar equipment, training and infantry performance.

The ONLY reason they're winning ANYTHING is their ability to pummel with artillery.

If they got all the high tech fire control radar too. Saw another video about all the cheap shit the Russian infantry are being issued. Because the higher ups are skimming funds for equipment purchases. It fucked up from top to bottom there.
