...couple of years ago.

Something very satisfying happened.

There's a rocky ledge on one side of the river that is marked by red Coast Guard buoys. Warning. Do not get to the shore side of the buoys.

These dudes, cruising along, did the thing that we sometimes see in the summer boat traffic.

Cruising along...............................cachunk. Hit the rocks. Lost the propeller. Dead in the water.

It was one of those launch type boats with a dozen or so beer bellies in it.

Good for a laugh.

I happen to have a gas guzzling truck, but the other vehicle is a Spark. Needless to say, the Spark has been getting most of the use so far this year.

The truck has its purpose, but nothing beats being able to look at any parking situation and know your Spark can handle it.

Most of the time I drive my 2012 Focus, very slow with both. That mileage deduction saves me every time.

I have a 31-36 mpg wagon I drive most of the time. An Acadia SUV when I need room for 6 with luggage.

It's the single individuals driving around in gas hogs that are the problem, not vehicles being used for their intended purpose.
