The vast majority of the MAGA crowd will require it if they make it to old age while filled with all that hate.

I don't know a single person that doesn't want SS to be there when they retire. Yes, they may bitch about it when asked, but they still want it there when needed.

I love the "solutions" that nimrods like Scott dream up. If you get enough donkey's to vote for this kind of nonsense, you are going to cause all kinds of complicated issues. Unfortunately the republicans zeal for THEIR wallet goes unabated.

1% billionaires in our country...
Raise their taxes b4 doing ANYTHING about raising taxes on the lower income people... Last I looked the Median household income was $67,521 in 2020
Nail the millionaires first.. they can afford it.. not us.. Oh wait!
Most in congress are millionaire lawyers so not much will be done.. I always wondered why people vote like the 1% when they are not in their "club".. Own the libs I guess...

I live in a deep red area, when I bring up SS and Medicare they all say it's Democrats that want to end it.

They are all being gas lit.

The question is how to get the truth to them, they don't trust anything but FOX.

I got the same anti-democrat nonsense while working a gig in deep-red Calaveras county... at first. Upon discovery that I was "one of them", none of the Trumper ilk spoke to me beyond work necessities, fortunately that was only one day per week. Can't talk sense into those determined to remain stuck in stupid.

Remember there was a time when other bills like voting rights and others that needed renewal at intervals sailed through Senate and Congress and no one could envision them not passing - then Republican votes kept dropping and dropping and now bills that need renewed will need to get Democratic supermajority to get passed.

Yes, even in Democratic states many Republicans believe Democrats will not protect Social Security.

for 8 years now couldn't live without it and medicare because manual labor jobs I worked throughout my life didn't have 401ks or retirement plans just what you could save when time were good in order to spend it when times were bad.

When I talk to others in these jobs they're always counting the time til they can retire and including SS in what they will have to live on at that time.

It's time to wake them up.

but Republicans will never pay a price for this. They are never held accountable by the same standards we Dems are.

And with high inflation and high gas prices they can pretty much do whatever they want and get away with it because nobody seems to care if our rights are taken away when we’re paying high gas prices.

They’d rather have low gas prices and no jobs created than the opposite. Jobs created, an infrastructure plan – who cares, gas prices are high! Kick out the Dems and bring in the Repubs.

That seems to be our world now. I don't think they would be so emboldened if inflation and gas prices weren't so damn high.

in office as well as the President and VP need to talk about this every time they speak to the public and make sure the public is REALLY hearing this message! They also need to call out these republicans by name that back these plans!
