So I’m not sure you know what you’re talking about.

And I will add, there really is no reason to be disagreeable with other DU'ers because they hold a different opinion than you. Fiendish Thingy is a great Du'er and knows what she is talking about...very well informed.

I don’t claim to know that much about RICO, but much of what I know I learned at emptywheel.net , where the experienced lawyers there pounced on commenters suggesting RICO was the best way to prosecute the crimes of the Trump administration.

Such as money laundering. They are some of the most difficult, complex cases to prosecute.

Seditious conspiracy on its own it tough to prosecute, I can’t imagine DOJ would want to make things harder by using RICO unless absolutely necessary.

then you can potentially add racketeering to it.

Right now, there is evidence that the Oath Keepers/Three percenters/etc. planned the violent attack on the Capital. There MAY be evidence that outsiders like Stone or Flynn were aware or involved. There is NOT public evidence that Trump, his family, the WH staff or the campaign team were involved or knowledgable.

People are being convicted as they should be, and I don't think we will ever convict Trump...there will always be a Trump-supporting jurist. The best thing we can do to punish them is to destroy them at the polls in November.
