Contrast that with a ruling released under full secrecy. In that alternate universe, the justices flee to Cancun and lay low for a month or two.

People will tell you you're doing it wrong. Protest anyway. At the very least, let them know we noticed.

... seems unlikely to be swayed by protests.

I feel like protesting outside of House and Senate members' homes makes more sense.

was to corral protestors out of sight and out of earshot, where they wouldn't disturb Our Betters while (1) hopefully convincing them that they were still accomplishing something and (2) making them easy pickings for the riot police when they got bored or just wanted to try out their new military-style equipment.

But the entire purpose of protest is to cause the Betters discomfort. Otherwise nothing gets done. If they think they control everything, they must be taught that it comes with responsibility--a concept few of them are familiar with, and most of them deny.

I keep saying, "If they don't like peaceful protest, they're going to really hate the other kind."

They live in a bubble of wealth and privilege.

They can't hear anyone from inside the Supreme Court building and the fences are set so that no one can approach.

They can likely go months without interacting with a person who isn't part of their bubble.

The only place they might hear or notice is at their homes.

I don't condone violence, but none of these protests have been violent.

The only point is that it is futile because the right wingers on the court probably revel in the despair of women whose lives will be impacted. They will rejoice over every woman with a ruptured ectopic pregnancy who dies, every woman who commit suicide rather than continue a pregnancy, every young woman whose life is ruined. They will be happy about it, because they are part of the death cult .
