Jeremy Munson Is Running for Congress in Minnesota

There's a special election. One of our Republican House member died suddenly. So, there's a special election for his replacement for the rest of his term for a few months until the regular election occurs. Another election in November for the two year term.

Jeremy Munson is one of the GQP candidates. Guess who has stepped in to campaign for him: Rand Paul, of all people. There's an ad running on all of the local TV channels, with Rand Paul claiming that Munson is the "Donald Trump" candidate and the "Anti-Fauci" candidate.

Munson's website focuses on his being "Anti-Fauci" and the candidate for "Draining the Swamp."

He's a true Trumper. How's that going to work out for him? We'll see. Will Rand Paul pull in votes? We'll see. He's also being endorsed by Michele Bachmann (Loser, MN).

Primary is May 24. I'll let you know what happens.

Rand Paul? Cool beans...but maybe not in Minnesota

I think it's likely that someone more mainstream wins the GOP primary. Carnahan, maybe.

Stranger things have happened, however. If he manages to win the primary, we'll probably win the district back, so there's that.

...that has been in the papers for a while. See also the Brodkorb tweet in post #1, which may be related. The Matt McNeil Show on AM950 (KTNF) covered this extensively today. Then again, maybe Trump voters are OK with this kind of thing.

...in the last couple days making all kinds of nonsense accusations about stolen MN elections. (Bannon's show is on Real America's Voice, which is just a website and YouTube channel. Some "network".)

So I'm not surprised that Bachmann is a fan of Munson. This is apparently how she thinks she's going to stay "relevant".
