Why hasn't Biden given a prime time address to the nation re: Roe?

Is he waiting for the actual decision to be issued? We need leadership from the top on this matter. This decision is unprecedented in our country’s history in that an illegitimate court is defying the will of the majority of Americans by taking away rights and defying the Constitution.

He needs to step up and speak to the American people about what is happening. He needs to show America what is on the line and what our future looks like. He needs to bring the fire and rally Americans to the cause. He needs to stop relying on tweets written and sent by his staff and stop letting his press secretary speak on his behalf. He needs to be front and center constantly on this issue and not go awol on it.

He has spoken on the issue, though briefly. It would not serve a purpose to speak before the official decision. Frankly, I hope the temperature lowers just enough that folks pay attention to the January 6th committee hearings in June. Then crank up the GOTV machine and campaign hard.

You're not wrong. It just doesn't make sense to force a vote, have it fail, then watch headlines that make the GOPers look strong for blocking it

concurring opinions, and there will certainly be scathing dissents. Biden is a lawyer, and as such he knows how to analyze and comment on the decision when it becomes final. It would make little sense to comment before he knows all the possible ramifications of a final decision.

He needs to show that America is just as important as Ukraine. How many times has Joe addressed the nation on Ukraine (and rightfully so). I believe he should show the same deference to American women.

No other issues will matter in November. He needs to be a broken record due to speaking all day, every day on these issues. Give televised press interviews to every outlet imaginable. He should call into CNN and MSNBC like the last guy called into Faux.

Harris can handle and lead on everything else, including Ukraine and COVID.

I’d like to see Harris take a meatier role, too. I don’t believe she’s being utilized as effectively as she could be.

It would be stupid for him to give a major address at this point, when there is a chance, albeit small, that the final ruling will be different.
