Question.
Will overturning Roe be the breaking point for the country?
In terms of violence, migration, terrorism, etc?
Sure, GOTV. Very important, and, who knows, maybe that could stimulate change if the votes bring in dems. But as fast as we might be able to vote, millions are being radicalized in what used to be called churches but are actually nothing of the sort now.
As I wrote in another post earlier today, its easy and something of a cop out, to be a pessimist. But as I scan the commentary online, it reads more like preparation for battle than anything else. The antagonism, the hostility, is palpable. There is no common ground. We are living in two different countries, and one side revels in fanning the flames.

(12,444 posts)A married couple that scream at each other daily and live in misery shouldn't be forced to stay together.
Just figure out the logistics and I'm fine with it.
I live in California so I already have an idea how it'd be.
Just to prove my point... a Court today said that the State ban on 21 year olds buying guns is unconstitutional.
That means we need a new Constitution.

(12,444 posts)Then prepare for things to get MUCH worse.
You'll be pleading for the divorce.
Roe v Wade is just the start.
Give them one or two more 4 year periods of absolute power and we're done.
Because a lot of them have the same goal as you, defeating the opposition.
We're sliding towards a Right Wing authoritarian gov't...
If you don't get the divorce, the boot will be at ALL of our throats.

(16,218 posts)Have not trashed, firebombed or murdered those who say they are pro life. They have been violent, not us. Demonstrators and chalk on sidewalks are not violent. All I can say is..I hope it does not get violent on either side.
